Choose course (Shires) or fine (Edwards) threads.

S (short) version has a wide open sound with very little resistance.

L (long) version is more focused with slightly more resistance.

All Butler .508 JJ model trombones under the SN 0036 use fine threads, 0037 going forward use course threads.  All Butler .500 Lemondrop model trombones under the SN 0046 use fine threads, 0047 going forward use course threads. All other models of Butler trombones including C8, C9, C10 and C12 use course threads.

Description

Carbon fiber leadpipes offer great response and openness.  We build these with a very thin wall to allow for very fast response and great articulation.  We offer two sizes for each bore size.  Short and long versions.  The short version has a wide open sound with very little resistance.  The longer version is more focused with slightly more resistance.  The threaded “nut” is 3D printed carbon fiber and is very durable.  We offer these in course (Shires) or fine (Edwards) threads.
